1. Choose two of the following issues and examine how the Hong Kong government tackled the problems
arising from these issues:
(a) The Canton-HongKong General Strike and Boycott (1925-26)
(b) Struggles between supporters of the Kuomintang [Guomindang]and those of the Chinese
Communist Party from the 1940s to the 1960s
